![]() ![]() I have tested some boards that were a lot heavier that could carry about the same weight. So it can carry a lot without any problem, it even managed to carry my huge body without any problem! (I have lately gotten fat shaming comments here, can you imagine □?).įor a board that weighs only 21 lbs / 9.5 kg this is a great performance. But who is really going to do that?Īccording to Atoll their paddle board has a weight limit of 400 lbs, but they have even tested it up to 700 lbs. The only time it bends through is when you go sit on it outside of the water on two bars, like I did on the modeling picture. The board is very stable, the size of 11′ x 32″ x 6″ ensures it is very stable and not wobbly at all. I was just walking outside in my SUP outfit with my camera and drone and found this, what a coincidence! The board and accessories are sturdy enough to not need this much protection. Please consider the environment and try to reduce this wrapping material to the minimal. The only downside here is the same as with other inflatable boards – too much plastic wrapping material. First of all I must say it includes a very complete package with all the necessary accessories (except for a SUP kayak seat) to get you out on the water and started right away. ![]() I think the logo looks awesome and the board looks really good, so I was very happy to be able to try out the Atoll paddle board and see what it is like. I was already familiar with the brand, but I didn’t try it out yet as these boards are not easy to come by in the Netherlands (yet). On a sunny day in between all the rain (welcome to The Netherlands – while I am writing this it ) I finally decided to get out for some exercise and the quarantine boredom to try out the 2021 Atoll paddle board. The board mainly focuses on sportiness and fun, but because of the shape it offers some more performance and speed than other beginner boards. This board is especially suitable for starters and people who have less than 5 years of SUP experience. You do not want to catch high waves but you will not be bothered when the water is playful. Because of the raised nose you can paddle through the waters easier and you can reach higher speeds than on completely flat boards. The board is suitable for everyone who wants to paddle through the waters with low resistance and easy paddling. I almost got assaulted on the water! Nearly lost my life trying out this paddle board for you guys! □ Quite heavy to inflate (or I am really out of shape because of the lockdown). No SUP seat included in the package (Maybe I am just spoiled □). ![]() It should be at around 17″ wide when rolled out, because this guarantees it’ll be the length of the pan. Step-By-Step Step 1: Gather Ingredients Step 2: Prepare walnut mixture and begin to assemble dough. The recipe remains 100% unaltered, though I’ve chosen to grind my walnuts in a food processor, even though my grandma teases it’s not authentic that way. Since that visit, I picked up the tradition of making this recipe each year and I would always ship a roll back to my grandma. (I’m not a skilled baker, so finding a technique took some practice). We spent an entire day in the kitchen grinding walnuts (for hours!) with my grandma’s old fashioned nut grinder, and rolling each pastry by hand. My grandma is now 97 and no longer makes it, but luckily, about 15 years ago she visited California and taught me how. From then on, my grandma made it every Christmas and Easter. My grandma was one of them, and is the only one who continued to make this nut roll. When she was in her later years (approximately 1970), she worried that her nut roll recipe would not be passed on, so she invited a few close family members over to learn how to make it. ![]() Killian was a Romanian immigrant who came to work as a cook in New York, and ended up in Pittsburgh, PA.
